Eyal Cohen is President- Chief Executive Manager of Marcarko Ltée., the on-site real estate management company of 555 Chabanel. He is responsible for the oversight of this building of more than 1 million square feet, including management of the day-to-day operations, implementation of development strategies, leasing, and the coordination and supervision of renovation and construction projects on the property.
Eyal Cohen has more than 22 years of experience invested in the growth and development of this property. Motivated by his acute sense of innovation, he has spearheaded numerous initiatives in the marketing, promotion and leasing strategies of 555 Chabanel which have contributed to the success and reputation of the building. He is highly regarded in the real estate industry and as a result has been called upon to participate in several development projects coordinated by a variety of interest groups of the public and private sectors. He has brought his expertise to several organizations such as the Direction Regroupement Chabanel which works in collaboration with the City of Montreal to renew and promote the Chabanel District. Mr. Cohen is an administrator of Liaison Mode Montréal, a non-profit organization with a mandate to promote Montreal as the epicentre of fashion and design in Canada. He has also been president of Promomode Corporation, another non-profit corporation.
His commitment, integrity and knowledge of the industry are well-known in the real estate community. With the support of a dedicated and professional team, he succeeded in guiding 555 Chabanel through economic downturns to not only maintain but enhance the building’s reputation for excellence among all the commercial buildings in Montreal.
Eyal Cohen is a graduate in electronic engineering of aviation. He was also a candidate for Counsellor of the City of Montreal. He is deeply engaged in his community and is an active member of the Community Center of Saint- Laurent where he was President from 2005 to 2007. He is also part of the Shaar-Hessed Committee which, under the umbrella of the Communité Sépharade Unifié du Québec (CSUQ), collects funds to assist the neediest in the community.
